Android N’s developer preview has been out for a while now and Google I/O has already passed us, but we still have no idea what Android N will be officially known as. Google has teased (or trolled) us with possible names, although just last month Google started to take votes on names submitted by the public.

That being said, it seems that we should be able to find out Android N’s official name soon, thanks to a recent tweet by Google in which they thanked users for their submissions, and that an official reveal will be made in a few weeks. So far Google has stuck to using dessert names so we doubt that Android N will be the exception.

Some reports are claiming that the platform will be known as New York Cheesecake which we guess doesn’t sound too bad, and kind of delicious actually. However we also have to wonder if it could end up being an ethnic dessert. Last we heard, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai did hint that it would be nice to see Android N named after an Indian dessert.

In any case we guess we should find out soon enough, but in the meantime what do you guys think it will be called? What are some of the more common names that you have heard so far?
