lg_x_camLast week, Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition featuring a Batman logo and Batman theme. Samsung is no stranger when it comes to launching handsets with superhero themes. Just last year we were treated to Marvel themed handsets, and now it looks like LG could want in on the fun as well.

According to a report from ZDNet, they have heard from company insiders at LG that the company is planning on launching LG X handsets that have been given an X-Men makeover. Given that X-Men: Apocalypse is screening right now, we guess it makes sense that the X-Men themed handsets would be launched.

However what’s odd is that according to the report, these handsets are only expected for a launch in July in the US, which by then the X-Men movies would have probably stopped screening and we would have moved onto other superhero films, like the upcoming Suicide Squad, for example. That being said, it seems that LG has tried to match each LG X handset with an X-Men they think suits it best.

For example the LG X Power is supposed to match Professor X’s concentration, while the LG X Cam will be paired with Cyclops, and the LG X Screen will match Nightcrawler, and so on. It is unclear how these phones will look like or what kind of specs they might be packing under the hood, but if you’re an X-Men fan then we guess these handsets could be worth looking forward to.
