watch-dogs_2A lot of games these days involve fighting and killing to a certain extent, where you are sent on missions to kill X number of monsters/bad guys in order to complete a mission. It is more or less standard, but for those of you who are getting a bit sick and tired of this model, Watch Dogs 2 could be worth checking out.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Ubisoft revealed how gamers could actually play and complete Watch Dogs 2 without actually having to kill anyone. This is thanks to the open world design of the game which lets players play the game how they want, instead of more traditional linear designs where you follow some kind of progression.

According to the game’s director Danny Belanger, “The player has the freedom to play the way they want. We’re using three playstyles to talk about the game. The combat hacker — who is more proactive and uses hacks to take down people. There’s the ghost hacker — they can use hacks to distract and make noises. And then there’s the trickster hacker. They can finish a whole mission without actually physically being there.”

Belanger also adds that gamers now have the option of hacking in more ways than one. “Now you can hack anything that is connected, and you have more options for how you do it. In the first Watch Dogs you generally had one way to hack something, and that created fairly simple patterns. But now you can carry out multiple hacks on every single person.”

Now it might be challenging to complete the game in this manner, but like we said, if you’re tired of the more traditional forms of gameplay and want a challenge, this could be it. In the meantime Watch Dogs 2 has been pegged for a release on the 15th of November, 2016.
