oneplus-x_ubergizmo_22According to our report yesterday, it seems that many OnePlus customers were discovering that the OnePlus X had gone out of stock, and subsequent checks with OnePlus apparently revealed that the company had no plans to restock them. This led us to believe that the OnePlus X was officially dead.

However it seems that isn’t the case. The folks at Android Authority have since heard back from OnePlus who released a statement that basically says that the OnePlus X will continue to be available albeit in limited quantity. They also state that the champagne version of the phone is sold out and will not be replenished.

The statement reads, “We will have limited stock of the OnePlus X Ceramic and Onyx available over the next few months. The OnePlus X Champagne has already sold out and will not be replenished. Stay tuned to our forums for updates, and rest assured that we will continue supporting the OnePlus X as we do all of our other phones.”

Just last month OnePlus stated that they were done with the OnePlus X lineup, so you can imagine that we weren’t terribly surprised to learn that it might no longer be in stock, but from this statement it sounds like the company is slowly winding down production, so if the OnePlus X is a phone you’re interested in, you still have time to get your hands on it.
