StardewValleyThe thing about indie games is that because there are no expectations, developers usually have free-reign when it comes to designing the game. This has allowed some pretty interesting creations, like No Man’s Sky, or if you aren’t a fan of that genre, it has also spawned some pretty fun games like Stardew Valley.

The good news for Mac and Linux gamers is that if you were wondering when you would be able to get your hands on the game, the game’s creator Eric Barone recently tweeted that the game will be released on both Mac and Linux platforms come 29th of July, which is basically next Friday which is pretty soon!

As for its multiplayer feature, which was announced a couple of months ago, Barone states that this is a feature that is still being worked on alongside localizations of the game. The game has been pretty much exclusive to the PC since its launch earlier this year in February, and its move to Mac and Linux is a step towards a wider release.

It was announced during E3 last month that Stardew Valley will eventually find its way to the PS4, Xbox One, and the Wii U consoles, so it looks like console gamers will be able to get in on the farming sim fun in the future. Unfortunately there is no word on whether it will eventually find its way to mobile.
