gnote 7So far from what we have heard, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will feature slightly upgraded processors. It is said to come in two different versions: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 version which is a slightly upgraded version of the Snapdragon 820, and the Exynos 8993 which is an upgraded version of the Exynos 8990.

However according to the latest rumors, it sounds like customers in Europe might be shortchanged. The rumors are claiming that at least for European markets, the Note 7’s Exynos chipset could be the Exynos 8990, the same version found on the Galaxy S7 in some markets, as opposed to the newer processors.

It is also rumored to be clocked at the same 2.3GHz speed. We should point out that the Galaxy S7 is by no means a slouch and the Exynos 8990 is an excellent chipset, but we guess if you’re going to pay for a brand new handset, and knowing the fact that other users in other countries are getting the “faster” version, it is a tough pill to swallow.

That being said, these are just rumors at this point and for all we know, they could be wrong. It could also be possible that the Note 7 will use the Exynos 8990 across the board regardless of market, which would be a bummer for everyone. In any case the unveiling will be taking place tomorrow so check back with us then for the official rundown.
