HTC is rumored to be making both of the Nexus handsets this year. One of them is codenamed Sailfish which is apparently the smaller (but just as powerful) of the two. In fact just recently the handset was spotted on GFXBench, and now thanks to a recent sighting, it has appeared again on a different benchmark, AnTuTu.
The AnTuTu benchmarks don’t tell us anything new that we didn’t already know. This means that we can look forward to the phone packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood, 4GB of RAM, a 13MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, 32GB of storage, and what appears to be a Full HD display.
The display size was not mentioned but last we heard, it was supposed to be of the 5-inch variety. Like we said, the rumors are claiming that the Sailfish will be a smaller version of the Marlin Nexus handset. From what we can tell, the Marlin will feature more or less the same specs, save for its 5.5-inch QHD display.
It was initially rumored that the Marlin could pack a newer Snapdragon 823, although previously mentioned specs still pegged it with a Snapdragon 820. In any case take it with a grain of salt as benchmarks aren’t necessarily 100% accurate, but with an October 4th launch, we still have a bit of waiting to do.
