nintendo-wii-u-southwest-airlinesThe Nintendo NX has yet to be released or revealed in full, but it seems that even ahead of its launch, it seems that developers are already singing its praises. For example the developers behind The Witcher franchise have stated that the console will be “fantastic”, and previous Ubisoft had also expressed optimism about the console and how it could draw in casual gamers.

However it seems that’s not all. Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, Ubisoft exec Alain Corre has revealed that the company still has some surprises up their sleeves for the Nintendo NX. “We announced that we’re developing Just Dance for NX and we have other surprises that we will announce later, but we also believe Nintendo has the power to reinvent the way families are playing. Nintendo is a fantastic powerhouse of brands that are really cherished by a lot of fans and families… I am still impressed by the reoccurrence of success and appetite even today for the Nintendo franchises on the current system.”

Like we said, the NX has yet to be revealed in full meaning that we have no idea what it is in particular that developers are so excited about. Just last week a report from Eurogamer revealed that the NX will be a handheld gaming console with the ability to be docked and used as a full console when at home.

Mockups have also surfaced which shows the alleged detachable controls on the console itself, which lets gamers play it as either a handheld or as a home console. In any case the full details are expected to be revealed this coming, so do check back with us then for the official information.
