It was first reported earlier this year that Google was working on a new travel planner app for mobile devices which would make it quite easy to plan a trip. The company today officially launched this app which is officially called Google Trips. The company says that it aims to reduce the hassle and enable travels to enjoy their vacations with this app so that they are able to see more while having to do less planning.

Google Trips has been described as a “personalized tour guide in your pocket.” Key categories of information are presented for each trip, including reservations, day plans, things to do, food & drink, and more.

This ensures that travelers have everything they need at their fingertips so they spend less time trying to search the internet for information and more actually taking in their surroundings. The entire app is available for use offline as it takes one tap on the Download button under each trip to save it for offline use.

Google Trip offers popular itineraries for the top 200 cities across the globe. The company has assembled some of the most popular sights, local gems, and attractions in these cities. Sharing features are baked right into the app to enable users to get their friends and family in on the fun as well. The app also keeps travel of all essential information during travel, including but not limited to flight, hotel, and car reservations.

The Google Trips app is available as a free download for iOS and Android.
