the-last-guardianMany years ago, Sony debuted a game for the PlayStation platform called The Last Guardian. However years went by with no end in sight, leading some to believe that the game was cancelled, which Sony had reassured gamers was not case. In fact during E3 2016, Sony confirmed the game’s release for the 25th of October, 2016.

Unfortunately gamers will have to be disappointed once again as Sony has since taken to the PlayStation Blog to deliver some bad news. According to a post by Sony’ Shuhei Yoshida, it looks like The Last Guardian has been delayed and will now be seeing a release on the 6th of December, 2016 instead.

According to Yoshida, it seems that numerous bugs have caused the game’s release to be pushed back. “A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.”

We suppose since gamers have been waiting for this game since 2009, which was when it was first shown off, a delay of about a month and a half isn’t too long a wait. A bit of a bummer nonetheless but we’d rather a bug-free launch, wouldn’t you agree?
