uber
One of the reasons why Uber caught on with the masses so quickly is because it makes it very easy to hail a ride. You fire up the app, you tap on a button, and within seconds someone is one their way to pick up you and take you where you need to go. It really doesn’t get simpler than this. Even though many users have asked for this option, Uber has not enabled them to book rides in advance, but that’s no longer the case at least in one market. Starting today, riders in New York City can make advance bookings anywhere between 15 minutes and up to 30 days.

New York City isn’t the first market where Uber has finally rolled out the option to make advance bookings. The feature is already available to users in Seattle, London, and other cities of the United Kingdom. It’s finally coming to the Big Apple.

The ability to book rides in advance provides users with flexibility. If they have an important meeting to attend or a flight to catch, they can schedule a ride days in advance so when the time comes they will be absolutely certain that a black car is headed their way to take them wherever they need to go.

Uber is clearly rolling out the advance booking feature gradually and it appears that it may truly be a matter of time before this feature is offered in other major markets as well.
