The Last Guardian was supposed to be released a very long time ago for the PlayStation but there has been delay after delay. At one point it was even believed that the game had been discontinued but Sony recently reiterated its commitment to the game. Sony also recently delayed it as well, but that’s beside the point. Those who have been waiting for this game will be delighted to find out that The Last Guardian has finally been completed, it has gone gold.
The Last Guardian was actually supposed to be launched on PS3 but it was moved up for PS4 due to some issues. The release has been delayed multiple times and that has obviously frustrated players who want to get their hands on it.
Going gold means that production has been wrapped up and that the game is now ready to be burned into physical discs that will be sold alongside the digital copy once the game is released in over a month from now.
The confirmation that The Last Guardian has gone gold comes straight from top Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida. He confirmed over Twitter that this much-awaited game has now been finished and those who have been waiting for it will soon be able to play it.
The Last Guardian is slated to be released for PlayStation 4 on December 6th, 2016.
I've waited a very long time to say this… The Last Guardian has gone gold! I'm so excited for you all to finally experience it ˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖
