Alexa is Amazon’s voice assistant platform and we know that they are looking to push it to as many users as they can. Given that Google Now/Google Assistant, Siri, and Cortana have had a head start, we can understand Amazon’s urge. Now it seems that Amazon is trying to get users to use Alexa as much as possible by announcing Alexa-only pre-Black Friday deals.
Basically if you own the Echo, Echo Dot, Tap, Fire TV or the Fire HD tablet, which are devices that have Alexa integrated into them, you will be able to ask the voice assistant to list you what deals are available. Note that these are exclusive to Prime members and only available through Alexa, which means if you are a Prime member but don’t own an Alexa-capable device and vice versa, you won’t be able to take part in it.
Some of the deals that Alexa will list includes getting an Amazon Tap for $79 which is $50 off the regular price. It’s a bit ironic that you need an Echo/Tap device with Alexa to qualify for this, but in case you ever needed one more unit, it’s there. There will also be discounts off the Sphero Star Wars BB-8 droid, the Philips Hue LED Start Kit, and limited edition Beyerdynamic headphones.
