Released in 2014, John Wick – starring Keanu Reeves in the lead role – was a surprising hit. The movie was made with a $20 million budget and it ended up raking in more than $86 million at the box office. Naturally, a sequel was confirmed soon after the success of the original film. A new John Wick 2 trailer has been released today and rest assured, it’s going to blow you away.
The central theme of John Wick movies is that people are trying to kill John Wick and he’s out to kill them before they do the same to him. You’re promised some pretty intense action sequences and it’s all great fun to behold.
The sequel is actually called John Wick: Chapter 2. The main plot line is the same here as well. Everyone is trying to put John Wick into the ground but he says “I’ll kill them all,” so you can probably imagine how this is going to end.
Reeves is back in the lead role as John Wick who happens to be a very skilled hitman that has returned but is forced back into his old ways by a guild of international assassins. The sequel also stars Common, Ruby Rose, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, and Bridget Moynahan. It’s going to hit the big screen on February 10th, 2016.
