iPhone_7_Plus_LineupApple typically releases two iPhones every year. One is the “regular” model, and the other is the “Plus” model. We’ve seen that with the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus, and this year we had the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. This means that in 2017, if the rumors are true regarding the naming scheme, we can expect the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, or can we?

According to an alleged leaked document posted online, it seems that Apple could actually have three iPhones planned for next year. Wait, what’s the third model, you ask? According to the document, the third iPhone has been codenamed “Ferrari” and yes, it seems to confirm the rumors that Apple will have a separate OLED iPhone.

This alleged “Ferrari” model will feature an AMOLED edgeless display and will come in the same form factor as the current models. In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, just like with the dual cameras, Apple is expected to have a separate iPhone that will feature OLED technology. Apparently this is due to the difficulty of manufacturing the panels which is why Apple is limiting it to one model.

However the rumors of an unchanged form factor goes against previous rumors that have hinted at an all-glass design, wireless charging, and more. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but is an AMOLED iPhone something you might be interested in?
