instagramGiven that with every iPhone, Apple makes upgrades to its display, processor, camera, and so on, that an app that runs on one particular iPhone model might not necessarily have the same experience on a different model. In fact if you are an avid Instagram user who owns the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, there will be some changes.

Announced by Instagram’s co-founder Mike Krieger on Twitter (via TechCrunch), it seems that Instagram has made some server-side updates that adds wide color capture support to the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus handsets. “If you’re on an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, Instagram now supports wide color capture and display throughout the app—writing an eng blog on it soon”.

As TechCrunch notes, these changes might not be particularly obvious, but it is there. In fact we guess if you want you can try and compare the differences alongside an older iPhone model, in which you’ll realize that the update has made Instagram on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus more vivid, which hopefully overtime should result in a better experience.

As Krieger notes, users won’t have to do anything as the changes were made server-side so just fire up the Instagram app and you’ll be good to go. So, what do you guys think? Can you even tell the difference?
