There have been multiple reports recently about new Android Wear smartwatches that LG has in the pipeline. LG is expected to unveil both at the Mobile World Congress 2017 next month. Both are claimed to run Android Wear 2.0 straight out of the box. While details are slim at this point in time, it’s believed the two models will be called LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport. The price for one of those models is rumored to start at $249.
The folks at AndroidPolice claim to have heard from a “trusted source” that the LG Watch Style price is going to start at $249. It’s also claimed in the report that the LG Watch Sport is going to have more features than this possibly $249 smartwatch.
It’s not known at this point in time what options will increase the LG Watch Style price which is said to start at $249. Perhaps the price will go up because of different bands or perhaps due to different case materials, but this is pure speculation at this point in time.
If this is what the price tag is going to be, one can only imagine how much the LG Watch Sport is going to cost which is said to have more features and functionality than the Watch Style. If smartwatch pricing trends are considered, there might be a $100 difference at least in both models.
We will likely find out for sure at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona next month.
