The Xiaomi Mi 5 was very well received when it came out last year. It ended up being one of the great Xiaomi devices that captured consumer attention in 2016. The company is now expected to launch a successor to that handset in the near future. The latest whispers out of China indicate that Xiaomi may launch three different variants of the Mi 6.

We’ve already seen a few leaks and rumors related to the Xiaomi Mi 6. Some purported images of the device have been floating around for a few months now as well though it’s too soon to be sure that they show what’s in store for us.

As far as the different variants are concerned, it’s claimed that there’s will be one variant of the Mi 6 that’s going to be powered by a Helio X30 processor and will be priced around $290.

The other two variants are said to tout Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor and the high-end variant is also said to have a dual-edge curved display, these variants are likely going to be priced at around $360 and $434 respectively.

Launching three different variants of the same smartphone will enable the company to cater to a wider audience and even bring in customers that don’t want to spend too much money on the device. Xiaomi is likely going to launch the Mi 6 at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona next month.
