From time to time companies do release products that might be specific to one particular region or country. A good example would be what many Chinese smartphone OEMs do, in which they have models that they create for international markets, and models created specifically for China.

Huawei is no exception and with the Honor V9, it is a smartphone that is said to be released on ChinaMobile. However according to recent reports, it seems that there is a good chance that Huawei could be launching the Honor V9 internationally as well where it will be given a different name: the Honor 8 Pro, or so we have heard.

For those wondering about the Honor V9, the handset is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 960 processor clocked at 2.4GHz. It will feature 4GB or 6GB RAM options, and will sport a 5.7-inch QHD display. It will come in either 64GB or 128GB storage options, and will pack a sizeable 3,900mAh battery under the hood.

We are also looking at features such as a fingerprint sensor on the back, a 12MP+2MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. Safe to say that this phone is quite a beast and we would not mind seeing it arrive stateside. MWC is around the corner so if and when Huawei does relaunch this as a the Honor 8 Pro, it should be around then.
