We’ve already heard a lot of rumors and reports about the LG G6. One of the reports suggested that the new flagship smartphone is going to provide an audio experience unlike any of its rivals. If that turned out to be the case, it would surely be a big selling point for the new LG flagship. The company has officially confirmed this today, the LG G6 features a component which is going to provide a great audio experience.

LG has confirmed via a press release today that its upcoming flagship smartphone features an upgraded 32-bit Quad DAC. This component from ESS Technologies will enable the device to provide an audiophile-grade sound experience.

This isn’t the first time that LG has done something like this. The company included a Quad DAC in the LG V20 last year so it was always expected that the next G series flagship would get similar treatment and now we know that to be the case.

The company says that the DAC on its new flagship is going to have the ability to control the left and right audio channels separately to provide a more balanced sound. It’s also going to reduce static noise and thanks to its increased integration with the internal circuitry, it will allow for a distortion level of just 0.0002 percent.

LG is due to unveil the G6 on February 26th.
