Earlier this year it was announced that Mario Kart 8 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, except that instead of the Wii U version of the game, Nintendo would be releasing a newer version called Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. For the most part the game is still the same, with some exceptions, new features, and new characters.

For those who want a better idea of what they can expect, you’ll be pleased to learn that Nintendo has released a new overview trailer for the upcoming game. The trailer is unfortunately in Japanese so if you’re not particularly versed with the language, you’ll just have to make do with the graphics, although we guess for the most part it is pretty self-explanatory.

It does however give us a good look at some of the game’s new features, new characters, new battle modes, and more. It does look pretty good and we guess at its core it is still the same game that was released on the Wii U a few years ago. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is expected to be released for the Nintendo Switch on the 28th of April, so you guys still have a little over a month of waiting to do, but in the meantime hopefully this overview trailer will help sate some of your curiosity.
