In today’s mobile market where screen size is important, camera quality is a priority, and how much attention there is placed to the processors in our phones, it is surprising that Nokia and their partner HMD Global decided to relaunch the classic feature phone, the Nokia 3310 at MWC 2017.

Like we said in today’s smartphone-centric society, we’re not sure if there will be too much demand for the Nokia 3310, but we could be wrong. According to Andrew Wilson, the UK director of buying a Carphone Warehouse, he claims that pre-orders of the Nokia 3310 in the UK appear to be strong.

He was quoted as saying, “There has been an astonishing groundswell of interest in the Nokia 3310 following the launch announcement of this reimagined classic. Levels of pre-registrations at Carphone Warehouse are incredibly strong, proving that it’s not all hype and that consumers really want to get their hands on one.”

It should be noted that the relaunched Nokia 3310 is basically at its core still very much a feature phone. Whether or not it will sport the same amazing battery life and ruggedness as its predecessor remains to be seen, but we guess many customers are looking to relive some memories. Unfortunately for those in the US, the Nokia 3310 will not be arriving stateside.
