LG appears to be taking a page out of Samsung’s book. Its rival has been offering great incentives to pre-order customers for the past couple of years so drive up pre-order numbers and now LG is doing the same thing. The LG G6 is going to be launched in the United States soon and all four major carriers will sell it. Those who pre-order the G6 will receive a free Google Home smart speaker for a limited time.

LG has already seen tens of thousands of units being pre-ordered in its home country of South Korea. The first day of retail sales in that country saw more than 20,000 units of the G6 being sold. The latest flagship is off to a good start.

The company is offering an incentive to those who pre-order or buy the LG G6 before April 30th. They will receive a free Google Home which costs $129. That’s all there is to it.

Google Home is a smart speaker that’s capable of doing so much more than just streaming music because it comes with Google Assistant built-in.

Customers will have to provide proof of purchase on the promo site after they receive their unit and will then have to wait for a few weeks for the Google Home to show up on their door.

LG is yet to confirm when the G6 is going to be released in the United States. Recent reports suggest that it should be out on April 7th. I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
