Launched in the later part of 2016, Facebook Marketplace is basically a section on Facebook that allows users to buy and sell items. Given that Facebook clearly just wants to be more than just a social networking platform, this move hardly came as a surprise. Now if you didn’t really like the way Facebook Marketplace looked, you’ll be pleased to learn that Facebook is giving it an overhaul.

As you can see in the screenshot to the right, Facebook has given Marketplace a bit of a design makeover. Prior to this, Facebook Marketplace was a bit more simplistic in terms of design, but Facebook has since made it a bit more colorful and have also tweaked the design and UI to make it easier for users to use and navigate their way around the platform.

According to TechCrunch, the goal of this new design is to help encourage discovery, so that maybe users can stumble across something they didn’t think they needed. Users will be able to filter sections by location and price, with or without an accompanying keyword. There will also be an icon in which users can easily find nearby garage sales in case you’re the type that still prefers to do their shopping in person. The changes to Marketplace should already be live, so if you have Marketplace then you might want to check it out.
