The Nintendo Switch is doing quite well for itself and if there was ever a definition of a comeback, this would be it, especially considering that many were quite skeptical about Nintendo’s future following the flop that was the Wii U. However it seems that despite the Switch’s initial success, not all developers are falling over themselves to put games on the console.

In fact if you were hoping that the recently announced Destiny 2 would arrive for the Nintendo Switch, you would be disappointed to learn that will not be happening. Speaking to IGN, the project’s lead Mark Noseworthy revealed that there are currently no plans to bring the game onto the Switch.

Noseworthy was quoted as saying, “I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it’s a portable – and I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me. It’s incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch.”

Destiny 2 was recently announced where it will be making its way onto the PC, something its predecessor did not do. Maybe Destiny 2 for the Switch could happen as Noseworthy did not give a hard no as an answer, but we guess gamers probably shouldn’t hold their breath.
