It’s no secret that OnePlus has a new flagship smartphone in the pipeline. The company has teased the OnePlus5 multiple times and it’s gradually revealing more information about the device. OnePlus has now confirmed that it has teamed up with DxO to enhance the photography qualities of its next flagship smartphone.

OnePlus has been improving the cameras in its smartphones with each new flagship device that it has released over the years. Yet, there’s always room for improvement, and it now feels that it needs to team up with the right partner to kick things up a notch.

OnePlus today announced that it has partnered with DxO to enhance the photography experience on the OnePlus 5. DxO is best known for creating the photography benchmark DxoMark against which all smartphone cameras are measured. DxO has years of imaging experience and expertise so they’re the right partner for OnePlus.

“OnePlus has always been one of the leading innovators in the smartphone industry, and we are proud to partner with them and support their exciting mobile photography strategy,” said Etienne Knauer, SVP Sales & Marketing at DxO.

The company says that this partnership will enable the OnePlus 5 to offer superb imaging performance. It’s yet to confirm, though, when the new flagship is going to be released.
