Last month YouTube launched its latest service in the form of YouTube TV. Now at $35 a month it does feel a little steep compared to other streaming platforms, but in case you needed a reason to justify spending that much, you might be interested to learn that YouTube has since added a bunch of new channels to its list.

Some of the bigger and more recognizable names that will be added to the list of channels includes AMC and BBC America. NBC Universal will also be expanding their current offerings in the form of Telmundo and Universo. There will also be new cable networks that have been added that include  Sundance TV, We TV, and IFC.

With the addition of these new channels and YouTube Red Originals, it has certainly made the service considerably more compelling than before. It should be noted that YouTube had already promised that these channels would eventually become available and part of the list of channels, but the company did not state when, but we guess now is as good a time as any.

At the moment YouTube TV is only available in a handful of cities in the US but is expected to eventually expand to other parts of the US. We’re not sure if an international expansion is in the cards but we wouldn’t be surprised if there were. More information can be found at YouTube TV’s website.
