Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X at E3 2017 earlier this week. It’s not only the most powerful Xbox that Microsoft has ever created. It’s also the most powerful console available on the market right now. Several games are taking advantage of the power that it offers by delivering specific enhancements to their games for the Xbox One. Bungie is not going to be doing that for Destiny 2.

While Bungie confirmed Destiny 2 several weeks ago, it confirmed more details about the title at E3 2017. The developer’s design lead Lars Bakken told WCCFTech that there will be no specific Destiny 2 enhancements for the Xbox One X.

It has previously been confirmed that Destiny 2 is going to run at 30 frames-per-second on the Xbox One X which is the same framerate that PS4 Pro owners will get, even though Microsoft doesn’t consider the PS4 Pro as an Xbox One X competitor.

Bakken said that Bungie is going to provide a similar gaming experience on all platforms so it won’t be making any specific enhancements to Destiny 2 so that it can take advantage of the extra power that the new console offers.

While fans who were thinking about playing Destiny 2 on both the Xbox One X and PC at the same time will not be happy about this, at least they can find solace in the fact that Destiny 2 is coming to the PC and that it will be able to hit 4K and 60 frames-per-second on that platform.

Bungie is due to release Destiny 2 for consoles on September 6th, 2017. It will be released for PC on October 24th.
