So the open beta access for Destiny 2 on console has pretty much come to an end, and as you might recall, the folks at Bungie did previously state that the PC version of the open beta would be kicking off in August, but no specific dates were mentioned, at least until now where Bungie has announced the dates for PC.

For gamers planning on playing Destiny 2 on the PC and want to check it out first before buying, the open beta will begin on the 29th of August. This means that whether or bought the game or not, you will still be able to take part in it. However if you have pre-purchased the game, then you guys will be given early access which will start on the 28th of August, a day earlier than everyone else.

The beta is expected to come to an end on the 31st of August for everyone else, although given that Bungie did extend the console beta, maybe they might do the same for PC, but don’t count on that happening yet. As for the hardware requirements, Bungie is advising amers have at least an Intel Core i3-3250 processor or an AMD FX-4350, with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or an AMD Radeon HD 7850 GPU or better with at least 2GB of VRAM, and 6GB of RAM.

If you want to take things to the next level, Bungie is recommending at least an Intel Core i5-2400 or an AMD Ryzen R5 1600X processor or better, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon R9 390 or better, and at least 8GB of RAM. Destiny 2 for the PC will be officially released on the 24th of October.
