Google is due to unveil its new smartphones in a couple of months now so it’s not surprising to see rumors about the handsets coming in on an almost daily basis. We’ve already seen a lot of rumors and reports about Google’s flagship Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL handsets. The latest leak brings us a couple of live images of the purported device, giving us a glimpse of the new smartphone that Google has been working on.

The Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones were launched by Google last year. These were the first devices that were truly “Made by Google,” and that’s a point that the company played up considerably after the handsets were unveiled.

The new handsets were well received last year so fans of the company are now looking forward to seeing how it has built up on the success of the first generation Pixel and Pixel XL.

The images that have been leaked online today are claimed to be of an early development unit of the Pixel 2. They show that the glass panel on the back might be smaller in the second generation handset. A laser autofocus assembly below the flash that has been seen on previous leaks can’t really be seen in this latest leak.

Reports have also suggested that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are going to jump on the bandwagon and ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. Multiple reports have reiterated this possibility.

Google is yet to confirm when it’s going to launch the new handsets but it shouldn’t take longer than a couple of months from now.
