There have been countless reports over the past few months about Huawei’s new flagship smartphones. The company is due to launch the Huawei Mate 10 in the near future. While previous reports have suggested that this handset might have a bezel-less display like most flagships this year, a new report out of China claims that the standard model of the Huawei Mate 10 isn’t going to have a bezel-less design.

Huawei is expected to release two models of this handset, the standard Mate 10 and the high-end Mate 10 Pro. The latest report out of China claims that the Mate 10 Pro will be the only variant of Huawei’s new flagship smartphone to feature a bezel-less design.

It’s claimed that one of these new devices will have a design similar to the Mate 9 and will reposition the fingerprint scanner to the back. This will likely be the Mate 10 Pro. The other is said to have the fingerprint sensor on the front just like the Huawei P10. This is expected to be the standard Mate 10.

Granted, we don’t really know with unofficial reports until the company itself confirms the details. Huawei hasn’t said anything officially about the Mate 10 handsets so far and it’s unlikely to do so prior to the official event.

Reports suggest that Huawei is going to unveil the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro at an event on October 16th.
