So far all the BlackBerry devices released by TCL have been of the hybrid variety, where the handset sports a touchscreen display, but also comes with a physical keyboard, a feature that many BlackBerry users seem to love most about the brand, and also what makes BlackBerry phones so unique from the competition.

However TCL is expected to launch a new BlackBerry phone with an all-screen design, and a recent photo could give us a clue as to what to expect. A photo of the alleged BlackBerry Krypton has made its way online where it was initially posted on BBM Channels. The image you see above is alleged that of the back portion of the phone, which unfortunately doesn’t tell us much, but we guess it is also the first time we’re seeing the device.

For the most part it seems that the phone will be keeping to the same design language that we’ve seen on other BlackBerry handsets. There does not appear to be a dual camera on the back, so it looks like neither BlackBerry nor TCL will be hopping on that bandwagon anytime soon.

As for specs, what we’ve heard so far is that the Krypton will be a mid-range offering, with the use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. It is also rumored to feature 4GB of RAM, a Full HD display, and a 4,000mAh battery. Take this leak with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we’ll have the details next month when the handset is expected to be launched.
