Customized consoles aren’t a new thing, and we have seen how companies have created themed consoles that are sold as bundles with certain games, however it seems that Microsoft will be taking customized consoles to the next level by creating custom consoles together with celebrities.The company has recently taken the wraps off a customized Xbox One S which was created for the DJ duo The Chainsmokers (who are probably most well-known for their song “Closer”). This particular Xbox One S can light up, thanks to a microprocessor that is built into the console that can convert sound into a dynamic light show.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the group was quoted as saying, “We were really pumped to work with Xbox on this project and help bring our music to life in a new way, by combining it with the best gaming console in the world. We knew the team would do something amazing, but when we saw the custom Xbox One S for the first time, we were both blown away by how cool the design is.”
We have to admit that it is a bit of a tease since regular gamers probably won’t be able to get their hands on these customized consoles, but The Chainsmokers will be holding a giveaway contest from now until the 17th of September where one very lucky fan/gamer can win this particular customized Xbox One S.
