iPhone 8 Pre-Order Times Confirmed

Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus yesterday at its first event ever at the new Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. The company confirmed when it’s going to start taking pre-orders for the new handsets. Apple has now confirmed the iPhone 8 pre-order times on its website. The pre-order times are consistent with Apple’s strategy for new iPhone models.

Customers will be able to start pre-ordering the iPhone 8 via the company’s online store at 12:01 am Pacific or 3:01 am Eastern on Friday, September 15th.

It’s normal for many iPhone fans in the United States to stay up late and pre-order the new iPhone. The timing is consistent with Apple’s previous pre-order strategies for new iPhone models so fans won’t really have any complaints about having to stay up late to pre-order an iPhone 8.

Customers will be able to place their pre-orders for the new iPhone via Apple’s online store or through the company’s Apple Store app for iPhone and iPads.

Prices for the iPhone 8 start at $699. The 64GB storage model is now the base option for new iPhone customers. The maximum amount of storage offered with the iPhone 8 is 256GB. Like all iPhones before it, the iPhone 8 doesn’t allow for external storage expansion.
