There has been a lot of speculation about the LTE Surface Pro. Many have been waiting on Microsoft to confirm when it’s going to launch the LTE-enabled version of this product. There’s finally more information about this. It was confirmed during its Ignite 2017 conference that the LTE Surface Pro is going to be released on December 1st.

Microsoft announced the Surface Pro at its hardware event in Shanghai earlier this year in May. It promised that a cellular variant would be released soon but we haven’t heard much about it since.

At a session at the Ignite 2017 conference titled “Surface product engineering behind the scenes, and deep dive on the new Surface Pro,” Microsoft confirmed that the LTE Surface Pro is going to be released on December 1st. The spokesperson said that the device can be found on the company’s product page but it doesn’t seem to have gone live just yet.

Microsoft is expected to formally announce this product at its Future Decoded event in London next month. Panos Panay, the company’s Surface chief, is going to make an appearance at the event in London.

A Surface Pro program manager Tim Golik revealed the launch date for the LTE Surface Pro during the session. No further information was provided about the pricing but we can expect it to cost more than the Wi-Fi only models available for purchase right now.
