We reported yesterday that the Microsoft Edge browser might be launched for iOS and Android later this month. Redmond has officially confirmed this today. Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android has been officially announced today. Microsoft Edge for iOS is available today in preview while the Android version will also be available in preview “soon.”

Those who are already using Edge on their Windows 10 PCs will find that Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android brings familiar features like Reading List, New Tab Page, Reading View, and more.

The mobile version of the browser has the ability to continue on PC, which means that users can immediately open the page that they’re looking at on their PC. They can also save it to work on later when they’re on the PC.

Some features like roaming passwords and support for iPads as well as Android tablets aren’t available at launch. However, they will arrive in the future. Microsoft Edge for iOS and Android will launch in US-English only.

Starting today, iOS users can test the preview Microsoft Edge app via Apple TestFlight. Android users can also sign up to be one of the first to test the preview app when it becomes available soon. iOS and Android users who want to test it out have to go here in order to sign up for the preview.
