The Surface Pro with LTE was launched earlier this year. Microsoft didn’t say back then when this version of the Surface Pro would be released, it only mentioned that it would be out before the end of this year. Microsoft has kept mum on the availability details for this product since then but today it has finally confirmed when customers will be able to purchase the Surface Pro with LTE.

Microsoft has confirmed that the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced is going to be released on December 1st. We’ve heard this release date before. It was inadvertently revealed by a Microsoft employee during a session at the company’s Ignite conference last month.

The particular version of the Surface Pro features an Intel Core i5 processor and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem. It has support for 20 LTE bands which means that it will support all LTE networks across the globe.

The full specs include an Intel Core i5 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD for the base model. It costs $1,149. Microsoft will also be selling a model with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD for $1,449.

The Wi-Fi only version of the Surface Pro claims to provide 13.5 hours of video playback on a single charge. Microsoft hasn’t made any claims related to the battery life of this product but it’s likely going to be lower due to the LTE chip.

The Surface Pro with LTE will only be available for business customers initially starting December 1st.
