The OnePlus 5T will be officially revealed on the 16th of November at an event that the company will be hosting in New York City. So far a lot of the phone’s details have been revealed through leaks and rumors, and we’ve even seen a render or two make its rounds on the internet.

However if you were hoping for more official looking photos, you might be in luck as the folks at ZDNet Germany (via Android Police) have revealed photos of the upcoming OnePlus 5T in a post where they unboxed the phone. Given that the handset is due for an official reveal in less than a week’s time, we can only imagine that these photos were not meant to be published this early, especially before the official announcement.

Either way whether it was published too early or if maybe ZDNet Germany got special permission, the photos are now live and they give us a good look at what to expect. For the most part the photos are more or less in line with the leaked renders, and it does confirm that the OnePlus 5T will feature a larger display with thinner bezels on its side.

The front-facing fingerprint scanner is gone and moved around to the back, and one of the photos even shows a face unlock feature, although whether or not it will be able to match the iPhone X’s Face ID in terms of security and accuracy is another story. In any case we should have all the official details soon, so check back with us next week for more updates.
