If you’ve made it one of your life’s goals to visit every single Disneyland in the world, you might want to add Japan to your list. But wait, doesn’t Japan already have its own Disneyland and DisneySea? Yes, you would be right, but a report from Mainichi (via Kotaku) has revealed that there are plans for a third Disneyland in the country.

At the moment it is unclear where the third Disneyland will be placed, but at the moment Tokyo already plays host to Disneyland and DisneySea, so we’re not sure if another Disneyland in the same area makes much sense, although we suppose they will want to consider an area that’s already popular with tourists, so maybe Osaka is a possibility.

Osaka already plays host to Universal Studios Japan which has seen a surge in popularity, thanks to the Harry Potter and Minions attractions. The report from Mainichi claims that this new park will feature new attractions, and is expected to cost close to $3 billion, with a Japanese style theme being planned for it.

Unfortunately it could be a very long time coming because construction is said to only begin in 2025, which means that it could be close to 2030 before it is complete. But hey, you can never be too old for Disneyland, right?
