Apple’s iMac Pro was announced earlier this year and it was expected to see a release before the end of the year. Given that we’re in the second week of December and there is still no word from Apple, it’s safe to say that many are assuming that the iMac Pro might only see a 2018 release.

However according to a report from AppleInsider, it seems that there is still a chance we could see it released ahead of Christmas. The report claims that according to multiple sources, it seems that Apple has been reaching out to various “reliable, high-volume” customers regarding the purchase of the iMac Pro, asking them for their specifications in terms of storage, RAM, GPU, additional peripherals, and so on.

It is also said that Apple’s salespeople have been giving customers ballpark figures for their orders so that they can prepare the funds before the end of the week, suggesting that maybe the iMac Pro could be shipped by next week. So far we have heard reports that the iMac Pro could be released on the 18th of December, which does seem to be in line with what AppleInsider is reporting.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we can only assume that Apple would like to try and capitalize on the holiday sales as much as possible.
