It was confirmed late last year that Windows 10 PCs powered by the next-generation Snapdragon chip will be released in 2017. HP and ASUS are two major manufacturers who are developing Windows 10-powered PCs touting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor. Lenovo is said to be working on a Snapdragon 835-powered PC itself as well. If a new report is to be believed, Xiaomi is working on something similar.

There isn’t a lot of information available about this new Xiaomi notebook at this point in time. It can reasonably be assumed that it’s going to be light, thin, and possibly fanless. It may also offer instant-on functionality, long battery life, and support for 4G LTE.

Chinese OEM Xiaomi started selling laptops not too long ago and its thin and light PCs have received a good response from the market. It has only launched models powered by Intel processors so far.

It has traditionally undercut its competitors on price and that’s what the company is expected to do with its Snapdragon-powered PCs as well.

Xiaomi is yet to confirm if and when this Windows 10 PC running a Snapdragon chip is going to be unveiled. With the Consumer Electronics Show 2018 just around the corner, it’s possible that we might see the machine being unveiled in Las Vegas next month.
