We’ll be seeing a slew of new flagship smartphones from some of the world’s top manufacturers in the next few months and LG is certainly going to be one of them. A new report out of South Korea claims that LG’s next flagship smartphone is going to be unveiled in March before it’s release in April. If that’s true, the new handset will be launched almost a month later than its predecessor, the LG G6.

One would expect the upcoming flagship smartphone to be called the LG G7 but that might not be the case. It was reported recently that the company is thinking about rebranding its G-series of flagship smartphones.

If that’s the case then LG’s new flagship smartphone may be called something else entirely. Whatever that might be remains a mystery at this point in time.

LG has traditionally launched its new G-series flagship at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. MWC 2018 will take place next month but the report suggests that LG won’t unveil the device there this year. The company is now expected to unveil its next flagship smartphone in mid-March followed by a release in early to mid-April.

LG hasn’t confirmed or denied this possibility so far.
