Fortnite Battle Royale To Get Live Record, Replay Features

Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale was a popular game before it recently found its way onto mobile, but judging by the responses to the mobile release, where it managed to rake in a cool $1.5 million in the first four days, it seems that its popularity is growing. So much so that it looks like Epic will be fast-tracking some new features for the game.

According to a report from Game Informer, it looks like Epic will be bringing live record and replay features to Unreal Engine 4 which in turn will be applied to Fortnite Battle Royale. As the name of the features imply, this will give gamers an in-game method of recording their matches in which they can then use to share on social media.

While it is possible to record in-game footage via third-party software, having an official way to do so is always welcome. Epic is also expected to release a new suite of tools to help them edit their videos featuring multiple camera angles and then post them onto social media and video platforms like YouTube and Twitch, all of which will be part of the upcoming 4.20 engine update that is scheduled to be launched this summer.

The addition of these tools to Unreal Engine 4 will not be to just Fortnite Battle Royale as any game that uses the engine will be able to take advantage of it as well.
