With so many mobile payment services available at the moment, how does one choose which service to use? Some might do it out of loyalty, others might do it because it is more widely accepted, or in the case of Google Pay, it seems like Google is tempting users with referral program.

This particular referral program is particularly lucrative as it allows users to earn up to $100 in credit. How does that work? Basically for every friend you invite to Google Pay who makes a valid purchase using the system, you and that friend will earn $10 in Google Play credit. This can be repeated up to 10 times, which means that in theory you could earn as much as $100 just by referring friends and getting them to make purchases.

This program actually kicked off back on the 15th of March, but not to worry if you missed out the past couple of weeks because it will end on the 14th of May, meaning that you still have about a month and a half to take advantage of it. However it should be noted that the Google Play credit must be redeemed in 28 days otherwise it will disappear.

Also we should point out that the referral program isn’t valid everywhere and so far only appears to be valid for those living in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Poland, and Russia. More details about the program can be found on Google’s website.
