OnePlus is due to launch a new flagship smartphone this year and we’re now gradually hearing more rumors about the upcoming device believed to be called the OnePlus 6. A new report today claims that the OnePlus 6 specs are going to include Qualcomm’s latest flagship mobile processor as well as a 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch on the front.

Citing a source close to OnePlus, Android Central reports that the OnePlus 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor from Qualcomm. It has obtained purported AnTuTu benchmark scores of the device which come in at 276510.

Apple may have popularized the notch with the iPhone X last year but Android manufacturers are embracing it wholeheartedly this year. The report claims that the OnePlus 6 is going to have a 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch on the front where the camera and other sensors will be housed.

Previous reports suggest that the OnePlus 6 will have a glass back which will be a first for its smartphones since the OnePlus X from a couple of years ago. Also expected to be onboard are dual cameras and a fingerprint sensor at the back. One would expect it to be there if it has a display with minimal bezels.

No word as yet on the pricing and availability of the OnePlus 6. The company itself is yet to confirm any major details about its next flagship smartphone.
