OnePlus has a habit of gradually teasing the new features of its upcoming smartphone to build as much hype for the device as possible. That’s what it has been doing these days for the OnePlus 6. It has already been revealed that the device will have the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm and that there’s going to be a display notch. The company has now teased water resistance for the device.

OnePlus has never made a water-resistant smartphone before so this is going to be the first time that a handset from OnePlus will be able to withstand exposure to water for prolonged periods of time.

“Don’t you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains?,” says the latest teaser that OnePlus has posted on its official Twitter account. This is as good as hint as any that the company’s next flagship smartphone is going to be water-resistant.

That’s a feature that one gets on many flagship smartphones these days so it’s good that OnePlus is finally bringing it to its customers as well. What the teaser doesn’t reveal, though, is how much water can the device resist and for how long.

Some new OnePlus 6 camera samples have also been shared recently to highlight the performance of the handset’s dual rear camera. What OnePlus hasn’t confirmed so far is when it’s planning on formally unveiling the OnePlus 6.
