The other day it was confirmed that Xiaomi-backed company Black Shark would be launching a gaming smartphone. It was unclear as to what the phone might look like, but thanks to a recent render that has made its way online, we now have a clue as to what the upcoming handset could look like.

Based on the sketch, it seems that the phone will not be your typically designed smartphone with smooth rounded corners. Instead it appears that the Black Shark gaming phone will have flat and angled corners, making it look more like a rugged phone than a regular smartphone, but who knows maybe this is what gamers like?

Also the sketch seems to hint at some features of the phone, such as GPS, WiFi, LTE, which we suppose are to be expected from phones these days. As for specs, we’re not sure what to expect but chances are we can probably expect the latest hardware, like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and maybe as much as 6-8GB of RAM and a high-resolution display.

We have heard rumors that Xiaomi could have a gaming phone in the works and perhaps this is it, at least in a way. It also seems to be a response to the Razer Phone which billed itself as a gaming smartphone.
