Guillermo del Toro is a name that many are familiar with as the director has been responsible for directing quite a few supernatural/fantasy style movies, such as Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy, and more recently The Shape of Water. He has also dabbled in horror with The Strain TV series which is also based on a trilogy of books he helped to write.

This is why it’s not surprising that del Toro’s next project is a horror anthology that Netflix has announced that they have just picked up. Dubbed “Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight”, these are a series of horror stories that according to Netflix, “are both equally sophisticated and horrific.”

The press release also notes, “On Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight, creator and executive producer del Toro will bring his own visionary style as both a writer and director to certain episodes. In addition, he will hand pick a team of the genre’s best writers and exciting new filmmakers to bring his selection of stories to life.”

At this point in time there is no mention on when this new series will be launched, so we guess we’ll just have to wait for it, but if you’re a fan of del Toro’s previous works then this could be worth looking forward to.
