OnePlus finally launched the new OnePlus 6 officially yesterday. It’s the first smartphone from the company to feature a glass back. Many would be wondering what the OnePlus 6 durability test results would reveal after this major change and they will be pleased to know that the handset has performed well in its durability test.

A YouTube channel by the name of JerryRigEverything has become the primary resource for smartphone durability tests online. All major smartphones are put through the scratch, bend, and burn tests on this channel to see how they hold up.

The OnePlus 6 durability test video was posted online yesterday not too long after the company officially unveiled the device. Any concerns about the glass back leading to a less durable flagship have been done away with in the video.

The device’s display scratches at a level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale with deeper scratches being inflicted at a level 7. That’s indicative of most smartphones today so it’s in line with the competition.

There’s even a thin layer between the display glass and the metal rim which should, at least in theory, provide some protection against drops. Do check out the full OnePlus 6 durability test video posted above to get an idea of how this device holds up against some serious pain.
