Fast charging is a feature that quite a few Android OEMs have introduced to their phones and it seems to be slowly becoming a standard. However as far as iPhone users are concerned, Apple only introduced fast charging to its iPhones last year, but even then it wasn’t exactly a straightforward process where users could expect it right out of the box.

However that is expected to change this year where according to the rumors, Apple will be introducing a new fast charger that will be bundled with their iPhones. Now according to a report from Charger Lab, alleged renders of the upcoming charger have been leaked, although admittedly it doesn’t really look like much.

For those unfamiliar with the previous rumor, it basically said that Apple would bundle 18W USB-C fast chargers with the 2018 iPhones. They will also be bundling a USB-C to Lighting cable which makes a lot of sense when you consider that Apple has pretty much done away with all USB-A ports on its laptops, which means that iPhone users looking to charge/connect their iPhones to their laptops either need to buy a new cable or use an adapter.

Like we said Apple has brought fast charging to its latest iPhones but users would require a 29W, 61W, or 87W USB-C Power Adapter which is sold separately (unless you have one of Apple’s newer MacBooks). With Apple possibly bundling a charger and cable, it will make it a lot easier for users in the future.
